    Day: 1


    Day 1: Arrival in Athens

    Transfer from Athens International airport to the hotel. The rest of the day free at leisure. Accommodation in Athens

    Day: 2

    Day 2: Athens – Delphi

    After breakfast, you start the Athens Sightseeing Tour - capital and largest city in Greece, also the historical capital of ancient Europe. The Athens half-day tour, starts with photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896, passing by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus. Next you will admire the Athens Trilogy including the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens and the National Library. The tour continues with other amazing attractions you will discover as you head to the spectacular Acropolis where you visit Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon and Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. Then, depart for Delphi. Accommodation in Delphi

    Day: 3

    Day 3: Delphi - Meteora

    In the morning visit the pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, where the oracle of Apollo spoke and was the site of the omphalos, the 'naval of the world'. Blending harmoniously with the superb landscape and changes with sacred meaning, Delphi in the 6th century BC, was
    indeed the religious center and symbol of unity of the ancient Greek world. While at the site, visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum. Departure for Kalambaka, a small town at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora gigantic rocks. Accommodation in Meteora

    Day: 4

    Day 4: Meteora - Thessaloniki

    Visit Meteora, famous for its impressive scenery with ageless Monasteries*, that contain priceless historical and religious treasures as well as exquisite specimens of Byzantine art, standing between earth and sky atop huge rocks. Once you finish visiting the monasteries, you will depart for Thessaloniki.
    *In order to visit the Monasteries, skirts for the ladies and long trousers for the gentlemen are required. Accommodation in Thessaloniki

    Day: 5

    Day 5: Thessaloniki Panoramic Tour – Bulgarian borders

    After breakfast, have a panoramic drive around the White Tower, the main landmarks of the city, the Galerius Arch, the Rotunda monument, the Old Town (AnoPoli) and the City Walls, from where you will have a marvelous view of Thessaloniki. Transfer to the Bulgarian borders.

    Day 5: Thessaloniki - Sandanski - Sofia

    Arrival in Bulgaria and transfer to the hotel in Sofia. Accommodation in Sofia

    Day 6: Sofia – Melnik – Rila Monastery – Sofia

    After breakfast you will travel to Melnik, the smallest Bulgarian town, famous for its specific sort of grape, just perfect for wine tasting in one of the numerous wine cellars in the area. After lunch we will depart for Rila Monastery, biggest and most important orthodox cloister in the country – the jewel of Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage, recognized as a part of UNESCO World Heritage sites. Transfer to Sofia. Accommodation in Sofia

    Day 7: Sofia – VelikoTarnovo

    The day starts with a tour of Sofia - Boyana church (UNESCO listed site), the National Historical Museum – here you will see many collections of artifacts of Balkan history. We will proceed with a walking tour of the city center, where we will explore the main sights in the Sofia center like National Theater, ex Royal Palace, Presidency, St. George Rotunda, the place named Small Jerusalem with orthodox St. Petka church, BanyaBashi mosque, The Synagogue and the Catholic Church St. Josef. Departure for VelikoTarnovo.

    Day: 9

    Day 8: VelikoTarnovo – Arbanasi - Ruse

    The day starts with visits to VelikoTarnovo and Arbanasi. VelikoTarnovo is the picturesque capital of the medieval Bulgarian empire. During the visit of the old town you will be able to see Baldwin’s Tower, the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Holy Ascension of God, the rock of executions and much more. Next stop is Arbanasi, famous for its rich history and large number of historical monuments, such as 17th and 18th century churches and examples of Bulgarian National Revival architecture. With its magnificent frescoes, the church of the Nativity of Christ is an amazing example of the icon painting from XVI century. Transfer to Ruse. Accommodation in Ruse

    Day 9: Ruse – Ivanovo Rock Monastery - Medieval Fortified Town of Cherven – Romanian borders

    Tour of Ivanovo Rock Monastery and Medieval Fortified Town of Cherven.The Ivanovo Rock Monastery is part of UNESCO treasures, founded in the year 1220 by the monk Yoakim, who later became a Bulgarian patriarch.Wall-paintings, which show the specifics of Bulgarian church art in the 13th – 14th century, are preserved in six of the temples. The medieval fortified town of Cherven is situated within the borders of natural park RusenskiLom. Cherven was one of the largest military and administrative, economic and cleric cultural centers of the Second Bulgarian Empire. Transfer to the Romanian border.

    Day 10: Arrival in Romania

    Day 11: Bucharest

    Explore Bucharest, capital city and financial center of Romania, a vibrant and 
dynamic city that proudly displays its history alongside modern culture. The day starts with a city tour: University Square, Romana Square, Victory Square, Arch of Triumph, House of the Free Press, Romanian Athenaeum, Royal 
Palace. You will visit Village Museum - one of the largest and most charming open-air 
museums in Europe and Palace of Parliament - the world’s largest, heaviest and most expensive 
administrative building. The evening awaits with a Romanian dinner with folkloric show. Accommodation in Bucharest

    Day: 13

    Day 12: Bucharest - Sinaia - Brasov - Sighisoara

    After breakfast we will travel to Sinaia to visit Peles Castle, former royal summer residence and one of the most spectacular castles in Europe, located in splendid natural scenery. The tour of Transylvania starts with Bran Castle, impressive hilltop fortress in Transylvania, famously known as Dracula’s Castle and continues with 2 amazing medieval cities – Brasov and Sighisoara, one of the most beautiful medieval citadels in Europe and Dracula s birthplace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Accommodation in Sighisoara

    Day: 14

    Day 13: Sighisoara - Sibiu – Bucharest

    The day starts with a refreshing walking tour in the medieval fortress of Sighisoara that takes the visitor back in time - Clock Tower, the Church on the Hill and Dracula’s House. Next we will explore Sibiu - amazing medieval city in the heart of Transylvania, one of the largest and wealthiest strongholds in Europe, nowadays a city of art and culture. Departure to Bucharest.Accommodation in Bucharest

    Day 14: Bucharest

    After breakfast in the hotel you have free time to explore more of the city before the airport transfer.
